Pray: "Thy Kingdom Come"

At our prayer meeting this past Friday morning, it was prayer as usual: Heart felt intercession. Something struck us as a group. All our prayers were focused on things that we wanted the Lord to do, but it didn't seem like He was working. So we switched focus. "Lord, we want to focus on what You are doing and not on what You aren't doing!" Something clicked when we prayed that.

We began to pray: "Lord, you are doing a mighty work around the world! Nations are like a grain of sand to You. Leaders of nations are like a withering leaf. You are growing Your church around the world in great displays of Your power."

"We are preaching 'Thy Kingdom Come', and it is as if we are on a train called 'The Kingdom of God.' We are calling to the people of this nation 'The Kingdom of God is at hand! Turn from evil and do good! Board this train and follow us as we follow Jesus.'"

This train called the Kingdom of God is pulling into station at cities around the nation, and we will announce, "The King is coming!" We choose to remain where God is working in power. We will stay on this train and give a loud call to board. We have decided not leave our place on the train to chase the unwilling around trying to get them to board. There is no time for that. "Behold, the Kingdom of God is at hand!"
