"Are you sure its safe?" - Ministering in dark places

Last Saturday (9/26/09), we went to downtown Atlanta, GA to minister with the Atlanta Dreams Center through a program called Adopt a Block. Pastor Paul runs the center, and we had the opportunity to minister with him in very "needy" portions of Atlanta.

Armed with bags of food and the prayers of our supporters, we stepped onto the streets praying for people and letting the light of Christ shine.

I had the chance to pray for a deaf man and another that had a failing liver.

One highlight was going into a known drug and prostitution house. "Are you sure we're safe?" During the morning there is less danger than later in the day. We ministered to two people who actually live there (with all the bugs and filth).
